Hi there, I have been on the birth control pill for over 3 years now. This month I stopped because I'm too broke to keep spending money on it (waiting to go to Planned Parenthood to get it for free). PCOS, periods and pregnancy?!!?
Hi all,
I have had PCOS for approx 11 years and been on the pill for 9. Since coming off I have probably had about 3/4 natural periods, all of which came on suddenly with little warning and were relatively pain free (no obvious cycle).
Last week I had the egg white type discharge and had unprotected sex with my fiance early on Sat, with little concern I could get pregnant as i've always thought my chances are so slim...
However, call me paranoid, but since then my breasts have grown significantly, my nipples are permanantly erect and I have really pronounced bumps around them (sorry for the detail!!)
Ive also had on and off cramps both in my abdomen and back, light spotting (3 to be precise yesterday after i wiped) and am possibly weeing more-though I could just be oversensitive to this one?!!

I would say if you want to be pregnant, quit fighting! If you miscarried because of it several times, if you become pregnant again, you will probably miscarry again. Work on that before you worry about being pregnant.

It's just your hormones from being on, off, and on the shot again... trust me I was on the shot for a year, then off for 6 months then back on for another 6months.... then it took me a year to get pregnant (we didnt start trying until 6months ago, but I've been off the shot since april 2008 and I just found out that I am finally!).... but I don't think ur pregnant... yes u do have alot of symptoms, but its just the hormones from the shot.... but if you really think you are wait a week... better yet wait 2 weeks and take another good quality pregnancy test... If it ends up that you are pregnant don't worry the shot will absolutely not harm the baby... Birth control (whether it's pills, a shot, or anything other) is designed to prevent pregnancy... not abort it.

This has never happened to me. But my best friend had these issues and took home test and they always came out negative. In the end she didn't find out til she was at the hospital sick from food poising and the nurse wouldn't give her anything til they did an ultrasound. She got an ultrasound followed with blood work prior to that and they were both obvious that she was indeed pregnant.

Time to call your doctor. It could be due to the shot, but it could be pregnancy too. I'm no doctor I'm in nursing school - but not starting clinics for a very long time (1.5 years) so I would def. call the doctor.

When are you taking these pregnancy tests that are all coming out negative? If you do it first thing in the morning when you first go pee is the best time. Also, were the tests expired? Not sure if i would do Dollar store tests but that's just me.

Sounds like you are probably pregnant. Either that or you are having some funky side effects from the Birth Control. Best thing to do is to go to the doctor and have them do a test. Tell them all the symptoms you are having and find out.
